SAM Lends a Hand to the Feast of Lanterns Festival
Portable storage container safely secured valuables throughout event

INDIANAPOLIS, Aug. 28, 2007 – Thousands of lanterns guided the way to fun, food and lots of other festivities at the fifth annual Feast of Lanterns at Spade Park located in the Near East Side of Indianapolis. SAM (Store and Move), a portable storage container and moving service that launched one year ago, donated its services to the Feast of Lanterns to store festival valuables throughout the event.

Indianapolis’ SAM dealer, Planes Moving & Storage, offered free use of the SAM unit in order to “support an event that highlights the positive assets of the Near East Side,” said Michael Threlkeld, director of business development at Planes Moving & Storage. “SAM is a perfect solution for portable storage that can hold event supplies from booths to chairs to crafts for sale.”

“We greatly appreciated Planes Moving & Storage allowing us the use of the SAM unit,” said Laurie Klinger, volunteer for the Near East Side Community Organization (NESCO). “It’s challenging with an outdoor event like ours to keep valuables safely secured, but still within reach. The convenience of SAM allowed us to safely store thousands of dollars worth of loaned and rented items that otherwise would have required security officers or additional volunteers to guard.”
