AMODIO MOVING & STORAGE DONATES TIME, RESOURCES TO CT RACE IN THE PARK

Local SAM – Store and Move Dealer Donates Storage Containers, Volunteers

HARTFORD, May 28, 2008 – Just as runners throughout Greater Hartford were preparing for the CT Race in the Park on Mothers Day weekend, Amodio Moving & Storage employees were preparing SAM – Store and Move containers for some behind-the-scenes action. As part of the campaign “SAM Lends a Hand,” Amodio donated containers to manage race logistics. SAM – Store and Move, an emerging leader in portable moving and storage solutions, placed containers at Walnut Hill Park in New Britain, Conn., along the course.

“Many people don’t realize the logistics behind an event like the CT Race in the Park,” said Joyce G. Bray, president of The Connecticut Breast Health Initiative, Inc. “The SAM – Store and Move containers make our jobs much easier. We really appreciate the time and resources Amodio Moving & Storage has dedicated to our organization.”

The Connecticut Breast Health Initiative, Inc. has as its mission, to make a difference locally in the fight against breast cancer through education and research. Five years ago, Connecticut was ranked eleventh in the nation in breast cancer mortality rates; the state now ranks twentieth. However, it’s still important to focus efforts in Connecticut to help fight cancer. The mission can only be achieved by raising funds for innovative breast health projects and research. We have raised more than $750,000 to fund important breast cancer research and education projects in Connecticut. Beating breast cancer is no walk in the park, but with each step taken over the past five years, we move closer and closer to finding a cure”.

The fifth annual CT Race in the Park presented by CT Breast Health Initiative, Inc., is the premier fundraising event for the CT Breast Health Initiative, Inc. in Connecticut. It’s designed to raise money and awareness for CT Breast Health Initiative, Inc. The one-day event, which drew more than 20,000 race participants, hundreds of volunteers, sponsors and consisted of multiple races for all age and fitness levels.

“This was a great opportunity for our company to give back to the Greater Hartford community,” said Adam C. Amodio, director or business development for Pickup And Deliver Storage, LLC. “In addition to the SAM – Store and Move containers that we donated, more than 43 of our employees and their families participated in the Race events.”
