SAM Dealers Provide Portable Storage Containers for St. Louis Flood Relief |
||
ST. LOUIS, Mar. 20, 2008 – SAM – Store and Move, an emerging leader in portable moving and storage solutions, has donated its service and containers to the flood relief efforts around Valley Park, Mo., as part of the “SAM Lends a Hand” initiative. As of Wednesday, Mar. 19, officials issued a voluntary call for evacuation, including Circle of Concern, a non-profit organization that provides long-term and emergency assistance to low-income families in western St. Louis County. “Our local SAM – Store and Move dealers felt a great desire to help their neighbors affected by the sudden flooding. We recognized the need to safely store all of the resources that Circle of Concern provides to low-income families in the area and want to make our service and containers available to those who need it most,” said Tom McCormick, president of SAM – Store and Move. St. Louis-based SAM – Store and Move dealers A-Mrazek Moving Systems, Dodge Moving & Storage and Fry-Wagner Moving & Storage have donated two containers each to the Circle of Concern. All six SAM – Store and Move containers will serve as temporary storage for the organization’s extensive collection of food, computers, personal care items and paper products. “We appreciate the way SAM – Store and Move responded to our needs during the flooding this week,” said Glenn Koenen, executive director for Circle of Concern. “It’s challenging to transport and store all of these donations in this type of crisis. The convenience of these containers allows us to safely store thousands of dollars worth of donations that may have otherwise been ruined.” SAM – Store and Move is a convenient, safe and secure alternative to truck rental or mini-storage. The company, established in 2006, brings together a network of experienced movers to operate as SAM – Store and Move dealers.
